What do I say if they ask this? How do I respond if they ask that? What questions do I ask and how should I ask them? These are all very valid concerns and questions, especially if the college sports recruiting process is new to you and your family.
It may be easy for us to say, having been the coach asking those questions to student athletes and their parents, but don’t worry, you’ll be fine!
Below are some questions for college coaches that contact you. Think of these questions simply as a tool to guide your conversation. There is no need to go through the list one by one, and many of the questions you don’t ask will be answered through the course of the conversation. These questions are meant for you and your family to get a better feel for the coach, their athletic program and their university. The questions are separated into three basic categories, although not all questions are specific and may be applicable to multiple categories.
Remember, when communicating with any university level coach to always let your personality show through and be confident! Get to know them as much as they want to get to know you. Don’t be afraid to ask any other questions not listed. There’s no bad question to help inform you in making the right choice of which university to attend, and the CCR team is here to help if you need it.
